Episode Highlights

Jennifer’s Background

  • Jennifer grew up in New York in an entrepreneurial family.
  • She went to business school and unfortunately got entangled in a couple of legal situations, such as a car accident and identity theft.

Jennifer: “Most people that have an amazing life have a foundation of sheer challenge that they went through and you really make a decision, ‘Am I going to implode or grow?’”

  • Your mess is your message, so step into the power in your struggle.
  • It’s all about the journey, not the destination.

Moshe: “The more you get in tune with your story, the more you get in tune with who you are and what differentiates you from others, the more you could become relatable to your clients. The better it will help you grow.”

Playing All In

  • Who are you? Who do you want to become? What’s your brand?
  • Commit to playing all in.

Jennifer: “If you leave this earth and you have not played all in, in your life, you are missing to see what your full potential looks like.”

  • Jennifer had no second thoughts about starting her law firm the day she got her license in 2013 and decided that she’d succeed or die trying.

The Importance of Hiring and Delegating

  • During her first two years, she felt like an impostor.
  • Invest in hiring the right people and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Hang onto the vision of what you want and do not give up.
  • If you want to become profitable, you need to let go of control and micromanaging, and learn to get better at hiring and delegating.

Doing the Hustle

Jennifer: “The first million is the hardest.”

  • Create content and social media pages.
  • Gather referrals from networks, such as friends and family.
  • Showing up creates opportunities.

Jennifer: “In showing up, ultimately, you get opportunities and doors open for you. And there are trapdoors in the universe that can take you 10x if you see them.”

  • Invest in a coach.

Becoming a High-Level Owner

Jennifer: “You don’t want the future, which is the lifeblood of your business, to be contingent on your availability as the only salesperson.”

  • Don’t make yourself the product.
  • Spend your time being an entrepreneur by creating the vision, working with the leadership team, and finding opportunities.
  • Surround yourself with people who inspire you to go further.
  • Be honest about what you’re trying to build.

Jennifer: “Don’t limit yourself until you’re really sure what you’re saying no to.”

Be the Smallest Person in the Room

  • Find new rooms to grow.
  • Determine what success looks like to you and how you measure it.

Jennifer: “You cannot compare your leg of the journey with someone who’s on 30 miles down the road of their leg of the journey. You’re only comparing to yourself.”

Believe in Yourself

  • Your uniqueness is your power.
  • Don’t let anybody tell you that you must fit in a box; you are exactly who you need to be and all you have to do is step into that power.

Jennifer: “Whatever is unique about you is your power.”

  • Believe that you belong wherever you go.
